Privacy notice
This explains what information The Coffee Crate collects when you use our ordering app, why we need it, and your rights. We're a small coffee trailer business in Ireland. If you have any questions, email us at thecoffeecrate25@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your order: what you ordered, your collection or delivery time, and how you paid.
- Your details: your name, and your email and mobile number if you give them.
- Delivery address: only if you choose delivery.
- Photos and comments: anything you choose to share with us, along with the name you give.
We never see or store your card details. Card payments are handled entirely by SumUp.
Why we use it
- To make your order, and to deliver it if you chose delivery.
- To send your receipt by email, if you gave us your email address.
- To contact you about your order if there's a problem.
- To show your photo or comment in our gallery, only after we've approved it. You choose to share these.
We don't send marketing emails, and we never sell your information.
Who helps us run the app
We use a few trusted services to run the app. They only use your information to provide their service to us.
- SumUp: card payments.
- Render: hosts the app.
- Neon: stores orders in a secure database.
- Brevo: sends email receipts.
- ntfy: sends new order alerts to our staff phones (order number, first name and items only).
"Remember my details"
If you tick this, your details are saved on your own phone only, so you don't have to type them next time. You can remove them any time with the "forget my details" link at checkout.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for up to 6 years, because Irish tax rules require us to keep business records. Photos and comments are kept until you ask us to remove them, or until we take them down.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we have to keep it for tax reasons. Just email thecoffeecrate25@gmail.com.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
